If you live in Las Vegas, you would know our notorious love/hate relationship with the summer season. There's nothing like it. The scorching heat makes it unbearable to walk anywhere as we retreat to the pool to fend ourselves from the heatwaves. And you know what else is hotter than the outside? Our vehicles! In fact, some people actually bake cookies in their car for sh*ts and giggles. But seriously, it's a real inconvenience when you're dealt car problems due to the summer weather. So when you're in need of a car repair shop in Las Vegas, the following are our city's top 5.

1. AA Auto Repair

They have a variety of locations, but one of my favorites is the one of East Sunset Road. The staff is always friendly, and their work is always in a timely manner. Don't forget to grab a coupon for your visit since you'll be saving a bunch of money doing that. When it comes to maintenance, they're the guys who can really assist you despite the tedious work. They're passionate about everything and anything car related such as Mechanical Services, Body Shop, Auto Painting, Auto Detailing, and other services. I mean, with over 50 years of experience in the business, who can complain?

2. HiStar Auto Center

They have years of experience in the business as they can handle all your car needs. They quality work along with their customer service is phenomenal as they can work with a variety of vehicles. Some services they work with are mechanical services like battery replacement, brake services, suspension repairs, engine service and replacement, air conditioning/heating service, and more.

4. Samurai Motors

They're kind of your all-in-one auto repair shop. So you don't just come to them when you have issues with your car, they also do body and paint work. Pretty interesting services if you ask me. If you're the type that loves to ride racecars, this place might be for you since they can help you out!

Sure, living in Las Vegas has its ups and downs. If you're not a Las Vegas native, you may find yourself homesick for friends and family. Still, the perks can almost outweigh the cons. For instance, the unbeatable price of real estate in Las Vegas is our state's magnetic attraction. Who can say "no" to newly built houses priced at an average of $200,000? Who? Unless you're a millionaire, you can stop talking, and take my money now!

Taking the Biggest Blow in Our National Economy

But it wasn't always. During the recession, Las Vegas took the biggest blow in low unemployment rates making our economy undesirable to many. Many head of households were losing their jobs due to layoffs as a result of the crumbling economy which created a wave of foreclosures for a few years. Without a doubt, Las Vegas continues to tell the dark stories of the past as it continues to bounce back from such nightmare. However, "in December, the number of properties that received a foreclosure filing in Las Vegas, NV was 19% lower than the previous month and 7% lower than the same time last year." Isn't that amazing news?

Today, Real Estate in Las Vegas is Where It's At

Housing will only continue to rise from today. More and more people are moving back to the city as they find employment and improved cost of living. In Vegas, you get a taste of both worlds. It's not too crowded, but you can still immerse yourself in the "big city lifestyle". We have just about everything you need from entertainment, restaurants, nightlife, and more. The location is a strong factor to the city with booming jobs, newly developed homes, etc.
