Property Management: Is It Right For You?

It is no surprise that many residents in the Las Vegas own a variety across the valley. Heck, just three years ago, I went to a Property Management Company, and to my surprise the property manager had seven different houses. Now, that I think about it, I don't exactly know why I was astonished because it has become a norm here. It's a norm that no one dares to really speak of. Now, you might be wondering, where am I going with this? Good question.

Reassuring Homeowners

Property management in Las Vegas, or any city for that matter handles your home. Some of us just don't have the time and effort to become landlords ourselves. What happens when your tenant neglects to pay for rent? Who are you going to call when a maintenance query arises. Such issues are addressed by a property management company so you don't have to worry about anything else. They'll handle all the dirty work with an extreme touch of professionalism.

A Renter's Delight

Now, this can also work both ways. Renters who are looking to rent a house can go to a property manager for help! Some would even have a realtor who can work side by side with them to see which house they can close for you. It's just like buying a house, but without the long-term commitment. When you've selected a home, then you can sign the paper work, and you're living in the home like it's yours!

Renting a house from a property management company with the same benefits as living in an apartment. Why do some people opt to get a house instead of an apartment? For starters, some just like the privacy. Others like the added spaces such as 4-5 bedrooms. Or they don't like the idea of being one wall away from a neighbor. The reasons are endless. But the benefits are tremendous.

As mentioned, you can receive the same benefits of renting a house like an apartment. When issues happen, you can all your property manager to address leaks, broken sinks, and more. In many cases, you wouldn't have to pay out of pocket unless of course, they rule that it's not within your lease. See, just living in an apartment!

Defining the Way We See Luxury Estates in Las Vegas

Back then cartoons used to consume my time. But now, I'm finding myself flipping through channels like HGTV, Vice, TBS, CNN, and The Comedy Central. I've clearly defined what it's like to be an adult in my generation.

Now, where was I going with this? Right, if you're anything at all fond of HGTV's House Hunters, you'd be surprised by the amount of budget some people have for their home. Once I saw someone purchase an amazing luxury home for half million, while others spend the same amount for a condo.

Luckily, I'm in a city where luxury homes are priced generously.  For about $500,000 you're living in a palacial property with more rooms than you can imagine. It's mind-blowing how location can make a difference.

I have friends in Los Angeles, who would purchase a home like that in a heart beat. But with housing costs on the rise, there's no way they can afford a property so grand. It just makes you wonder what's more important: a nice-looking home or the city of your dreams?

Around my age, there's this pressure to meet milestones of accomplishments. By 28 you're to have an established career and a home owner. By 30, you're to be married with children on the way already. It's a lot of pressure which presses the issue of whether we should more to another city for affordable homes. Let alone, luxury homes.

Now, the my question for you is: would you live in the home of your dreams or city of your dreams?
